Here is a testimony to the uncontrollable inspiration I receive from visiting Venice: abstract and traditional, ready-to-hang acrylics, oils, watercolours and oil-pastels and other mediums all form a great part of my exhibitions here in Ireland. I have painted most of my oils and acrylics with palette-knives and finished them with appropriate fine brushes. I have tried to capture the spirit of Venice through the use of vibrant colour and form with gondolas, calles, bridges, palaces, canals and lagoons featured in various misty or brilliantly bright atmospheres. Venice's unique light and shade, coupled with her majestic, domed architectural delights, decorated with statues and sculptures makes Venice one of the world's most attractive Islands to inspire roving artists. I have tried to visit Venice every month to experience the beauty and capture her essence and reflect it in my many works of art. Venice features heavily in my exhibitions.
